The Palm Treo 680 was AWFUL! Rebooted every 3-4 hours, I soft-reset several times...wound up hard resetting...then sent back to Palm--who sent back with "problem fixed", wound up with the same problems. Spent 399 on an iphone in the end...no issues, thus far!

This is by far the worst purchase I have ever made. I have to reboot the phone (i.e., take the battery out and restart) at least three times per day, as the phone feature freezes at random. If I don't check my phone every few minutes, I miss calls because the phone feature has frozen and I have no indication (and when my phone is out, the call log does not work, so I do not even know what calls I missed). The phone is also incredibly slow in moving from feature to feature. I actually returned one 680 phone to Palm, thinking it was defective, and they sent me another. It had the exact same problems. One would think that a phone of this price, with all of these wonderful features, would actually function as a phone. I have missed more calls, and had more frustration with this phone than I care to think about.

I like the Palm Treo 680 cell phone...it took a bit of time to adjust to (I had a SideKick). There is no "back" button, so it's difficult to navigate back one page without having to go all the way to the "home" menu.

While I do have some problems with the Palm OS crashing randomly and I had to spend an hour searching the web to figure out how to use gmail, overall it works well and I really like it. EXCEPT the battery life is pathetic. Even with low use the battery is pretty much dead by the end of the day and I have had it die on me sooner than that a few times. I have to keep it plugged in whenever I can, otherwise I don't feel comfortable that there will be enough power to keep it going while I'm out.

Instructions very poor. Even Cingular store couldn't explain. The Palm Treo 680 phone freezes and must remove battery to reset??

It is for sure not a good PDA. Its bluetooth has poor quality of reception (changed three Bluetooth headsets still the quality of reception remained same). Battery life is horrible. The Palm Treo 680 device restarts all of a sudden in the middle of a call. It is the worst PDA to have.

Great phone, palm software is very easy to use and does anything you could need in a smart / PDA phone. I could not live without it now. Great buy!

The Palm Treo 680 works well as a combined PDA and phone. I was concerned both might be mediocre but have found it does a good job. My only complaint is how long is sometimes takes to turn the phone on / off as depressing the key does not always work the first time. I'm very happy with my choice.

The Palm Treo 680 is a great phone great options is but biggest problem battery life on standard battery. Even with very little use on standby all day losses life fast.

Just a new phone. No good without WiFi. Treo is way behind the HTC.
